As for your other inquiry, by default, Rank Math settings are already optimized after installing it so you can focus on optimizing your content right away instead.

If you are referring to the robots meta, yes, it’s the correct configuration if you wish to apply index
globally.

If you leave all the options disabled it will fall back to the global meta settings where you have the index
enabled.
That’s our recommendation and to de-index particular posts, you can do so from the individual robots meta settings on each one.

As we already explained, if the box is checked those settings will be applied, if they are not they will fall back to the global ones.
