SEO Meta Description Not saving

    Hi,

    Im having issues with a site I developed (moragas.com). When I edit a post it tells me that the there is no meta description. I click the button ‘edit snippet’ to add a metadesc, but when the popup opens I can see that there already is a metadesc, but for some reason it doesn’t recognise it. If update the metadesc, like for example deleting and re-typing a single character the system notices that the metadesc is full.

    But then if I save the post it just resets to the initial position, where it says there is no metadesc, but if you go to add one you see that its already there.

    I’ll give you acces to the backoffice, but I need you to give me a mail address to assign it to.

    I already went through your forums and looked at theese possible problems, none of them appear to be the cause for my problem

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting support.

    Is this from a CPT on the website?

    Please note that if the CPT doesn’t include support for things like editor and other default behavior of the posts and pages the preview won’t be able to show correctly.

    That won’t prevent the metadata from showing correctly on the source code, but the preview cannot be generated without it.

    I had this problem and for me it was because I was using a custom post type which didn’t support the ‘Editor’. The default editor needs to be present for the calculation to save.
