    When I check google, it appears there are several versions of my homepage that people are clicking on. They all have the same rank math snippet. I don’t know why there are so many or if I need to do anything about it BUT I do want to adjust the seo description on the page that Rank Math is failing me for on the SEO Analyzer. I have been through every page of my website repeatedly. I have looked at the page source info to no avail. I have gone through every part of wordpress settings, seo references and meta references and still nothing. I need help…. and not from a robot. I need somebody to actually look at the image coming up in my ananlyzer of the failed seo description and help me to find and update/disable the page.

    Thank you,

    Amber Rost

  • Hello,

    We apologize for the issue you are facing with the SEO description and the multiple versions of your homepage appearing in Google search results. This can be quite frustrating, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

    To address the SEO description issue, please ensure that you are updating the correct page settings in Rank Math. Here’s a quick guide on how to set or update the SEO title and description:

    1. Navigate to Rank Math: Go to Rank Math > Titles & Meta in your WordPress dashboard.
    2. Homepage Settings: If your homepage is set to a static page, you will need to edit the SEO title and description directly from the Rank Math Metabox of that page. You can do this by clicking on the link to edit your homepage.
    3. Use the Snippet Editor: In the Rank Math Metabox, you can use the Snippet Editor to set the title and description for your homepage.

    If you have already checked these settings and are still encountering issues, it might be beneficial to look into potential duplicate content or canonical tags that could be affecting how Google indexes your pages. You can refer to our guide on changing the canonical URL if needed.

    Since you mentioned needing direct assistance, we recommend replying to this ticket with any specific details or screenshots of the error you are seeing in the SEO Analyzer. A human agent from our support team will then take over and provide you with more personalized help.

    Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to resolving this issue for you!

    I have gone to the search console to review indexed pages and the get the url inspected. In the source code, the page I am looking for has something to do with twitter. I do not have an account with twitter. Please help me figure out why Rank Math is showing the wrong SEO description on the analysis and if it has something to do with social media…. how to get it resolved.

    Hello,

    We can see the following meta description on your site’s source code: Experience effective neurofeedback in Houston to improve behavior, sleep, and anxiety; natural brain training solutions for all ages with neurofeedback houston. is this different from what you had configured?

    If you want to disable all Twitter meta tags generated by Rank Math, you can do this by adding a code snippet to your site:

    Please use the following filter codes:

    add_filter( 'rank_math/opengraph/twitter_card', '__return_false' );
    add_filter("rank_math/opengraph/slack/twitter_data1", "__return_false");
    add_filter("rank_math/opengraph/slack/twitter_data2", "__return_false");
    add_filter("rank_math/opengraph/slack/twitter_label1", "__return_false");
    add_filter("rank_math/opengraph/slack/twitter_label2", "__return_false");

    You may refer to this guide on how to add filters to your website: https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/
