Open the Developer Tools Console Panel

1. Navigate to More Tools → Developer Tools from the Chrome menu.
   
2. Click the Console tab.
   
3. If you see any errors, note them down as they may indicate what is causing the issue.

3. Firewall Blocked Access to the File

If you are using a firewall, it might be blocking Rank Math from saving data. Check if Rank Math is being blocked and whitelist it if necessary. Look for blocked access to these files:

/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateSchemas
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateRedirection
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/getFeaturedImageId
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/getHead

You can use Wordfence in Learning Mode to whitelist these files.

The Sucuri firewall is blocking access to the REST API route used to update the metadata. Please refer to the screenshot in the sensitive data section.

We would recommend getting in touch with their support team and asking them how you can go about whitelisting that route mentioned in the screenshot URL.

/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta

The issue should be fixed once the route is added to their whitelist.
