    Dear RankMath team,

    I am currently using the RankMath plugin on localhost together with the Elementor page builder.

    I set focus keywords for one of my pages. Unfortunately, I found that even though I use the focus keywords in my H2, I get the error notification “Focus Keyword not found in subheading(s) like H2, H3, H4, etc..”. Same goes for the error “Add an image with your Focus Keyword as alt text”. The images that I’m using on this page include focus keywords as alt text. It would be great if you can help me out with this.

    Also, I have another more general question. I noticed that depending on what my Primary Focus Keyword is, the SEO Analysis result (Rank Math Score) is different. Does it mean that only the Primary Focus Keyword will be taken into consideration when performing the analysis? What happens to the Secondary Focus Keywords?

    Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it could be a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

    Please let us know if you find the culprit.

    Yes, the tests are performed on the primary focus keyword so the scores would change as per the selected focus keyword.

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Regarding your second concern, the first Focus keyword that you add will be considered the Primary Focus Keyword, and the rest will be considered secondary focus keywords. The scoring is done based on the primary keywords only. There are certain tests that run on the secondary keywords but they do not impact the overall score of a post.

    Thank you so much for your help. I think I figured out what the problem was with the headings and alt text.

    Actually, I have another problem that I ran into now. It’s that I cannot edit my page with Rank Math enabled. It responds very slowly and I get the notification “Page Unresponsive”. I deactivated Rank Math and then it works fine.

    Could you please check if this issue could be due to JavaScript-related errors? Please follow this guide and check for any errors in your browser console.

    Also, are you using a page builder for your website? Alternatively, you can record a video screencast using a tool like Loom showing the issue and edit the first post on this ticket in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    Hi Reinelle,

    Thanks again for your reply. I think I figured out the reason why it takes so long to respond. I am using quite a lot of sections in this page (20 in total) and I don’t think the Editor can handle it together with Rank Math activated. It works fine when I want to edit a different page with 5 sections. Do you think this problem will be fixed once the website is live?

    Hello,

    Thank you for the update.

    From the error message you have sent, it seems that your PHP resources are being exhausted since it’s only happening with 20 sections active in your Elementor editor.

    Could you please head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Server and ensure that these PHP values are already set?
    PHP Memory Limit: 512M
    Max input time: 150
    PHP time limit: 120
    PHP max input variables: 1000

    If not yet, please increase those and see if the issue still persists. If it was fixed by increasing those values, then pushing your site to live would resolve this issue if these are already set in your web host server.

    If these PHP values are already set there, could you please create a screencast showing the issue and any browser-related issues to further investigate since you mentioned you’re working locally?

    Could you please also check if this issue is happening with only Rank Math, Elementor, and a default theme are activated while in troubleshooting mode and see if the issue still persists?

    If not, please try enabling one-by-one from the theme and other plugins to check which is the conflicting plugin.

    Please let us know if you find the culprit.

    If this issue is only happening while only Rank Math, Elementor, and a default theme are activated, could you please also include all the error messages in the browser (by scrolling in the error panel) while recording a screencast? This would be helpful for us to determine the root cause of this issue.

    The issue is not happening with only Elementor, Rank Math and default theme activated. I found the culprit! It only happens with Elementor Pro activated. Do you have any solution for it?

    Page builders like Elementor Pro add content to the page in the form of shortcodes. Rank Math plugin does not read shortcode content. Unlike the Gunternburg/Classic editor which does not show the shortcode content.

    We have added API access to the content analysis in the Rank Math plugin to make content from page builder plugins readable by Rank Math.

    You would need to contact the developer of the plugin you mentioned by showing the following link:
