    Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.

    That will work for sure, and you can also add the rule in your robots.txt file for the same purpose.

    If you are not in a rush and you are ok with the processing time.

    For eg. if you don’t want google to index this image: http://yourdomain.com/wp-content/myimagename.jpg

    Simply edit the robots.txt file and add the below for the above mentioned URL.

    User-agent: Googlebot-Image
    Disallow: /wp-content/myimagename.jpg

    Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.

    Since you have already requested to remove the URL from SERPs, There is no need to do that, and I showed you the alternative way with the help of the robots.txt file.

    Hope that helps. Thank you and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.

    Hey Ankit,

    Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.

    Sure, but it takes longer to remove an image from search results than it does to use the Remove URLs tool. If you are not in hurry you can do that with the robots.txt way or if you want to remove the images urgently you may need to use the URLs tool.

    You can learn more about here:
    https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/crawling/prevent-images-on-your-page

    Hope that helps. Thank you and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.

    Hey Ankit,

    I was taking to google in community https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/114803741/how-to-remove-image-from-google?hl=en. He said

    in that case use the x-robots header tag and set it to noindex for the logo in .htaccess

    <Files “companylogo.jpg”>
    Header set X-Robots-Tag “noindex”
    </Files>

    Can I add this code here https://gyazo.com/7edbab6c71e21bda0ca99711572e4a73

    Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.

    There are multiple ways to do the same thing. The code you are referring to is for the .htaccess file, and the code I have given you was for the robots.txt file. They both will tell search engines not to index the particular image.

    Since you have already requested the image removal with the tool, there is no need to add those codes.

    If you wish to add the code, you can proceed with that. There will be no harm.

    Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
