Could you please explain how to exactly to do that – For points 1,2,3
How to delete existing sitemaps?
How to clear your website cache?
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
Your category sitemap is returning a 404 error. Could you please head over to Rank Math > Titles & Meta and ensure that you have not set categories robots meta to noindex?
Additionally, please perform these steps:
1. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks
Hit the save button once.
2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings
Hit the save button once.
That should fix the issue.
If it doesn’t, please do let us know so we can look at this further.
Hi Micheal, Now I’ve reactivate it if you want to check
I have this code in my robot.txt
User-agent: *
Disallow: /wp-admin/
Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
Sitemap: https://piantaaloe.it/sitemap_index.xml
I’v tried the last method but doesn’t work.
I remember that with functions.php I delete categories from URL for url seo friendly and keep only “name category” without “category” this could this influence? If yes do you have a code for keep only “name category” and fix the bug on category-sitemap.xml?

Hello,
About removing the “category” from the URL, it shouldn’t cause the issue, so you shouldn’t worry about it.
We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Hi Alberto, I don’t find the box “senstivie data” maybe because I don’t open this ticket?

How to fix this issue?
Hello,
Now I have moved your questions to your own thread so now you can edit the Sensitive Data section to add some login details.
Could you check it so we can try to help you further?
Looking forward to help you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
Could you please check the category sitemap link once again?
It seems to be working fine. Please do try in an incognito window to avoid cache affecting the actual results.
Let us know if you need further assistance on this.
Thank you.
Hi Todd now it’s ok!
What was the problem on category sitemap?
Hi there,
Thanks for the reply.
I am glad that this is now resolved 🙂
It is likely that this was as a result of caching on your end.
Thank you.
