Scoring visible in excerpt blogposts

    Hi there,

I don’t know since when, but this weekend I saw that the Rank Math ranking scores were suddenly visible in the blog excerpt. I don’t use the WordPress excerpts, but Rank Math for the meta-descriptions, so the excerpt in the blogposts are automatically generated from the first lines of the content. When I do add an excerpt, the score disappears.
I work with Elementor and use an addon for the blogs / listing.

Would enclose a printscreen, but I see this is not possible? For now I disabled your plugin because I don’t want my site visitors to see these scores.

Is there a way to fix this? Or is the only way to go through more than 200 articles and add a WordPress excerpt?

    Kind regards,

    Sanne

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Could you please share the screenshot of the issue you are facing?

If you are seeing SEO Scores on the frontend then you can disable them by switching on Advanced Mode from the top-right corner at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Dashboard.

Please head over to Rank math > General Settings > Others and disable the option to show the score in the frontend.

I hope this helps. Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi there,

The advanced mode was already active, but I don’t see an option to turn this off?

    Here’s a printscreen –>

    Hello,

Did you try navigating to Rank Math > General Settings > Others > Show SEO Score(Turn this off)

If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

Ok, thank you. I found the setting and switched it off. What’s the use of this setting? Are there really people who want to share their scores?

    Hello,

    Thank you for the update.

If you have a ton of posts on your website and you just started using Rank Math, then it can be difficult to open each post to check how well they are optimized. This option can come in handy in those situations. When you enable this setting, Rank Math will start displaying the SEO Score of each of the posts on the frontend, which will make it easy for you to identify the posts that need the most work. This is also helpful for users who don’t have an access in the backend like authors to see the SEO score of their posts.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.

Thanks for your explanation. Good to know!
