Schema URL Anchor Text

    Hi,
I have a question about Rank Math Schema, particularly the URL that is repeated on all pages without anchor text under class=”rank-math-schema”. Not sure whether it has an actual impact on the page SEO, but my SEO software is giving me a warning for all my pages. I use the trailing slash for all my URLS and it’s hard to be consistent when these are added automatically.

First, it wants anchor text for the URL, second, it wants https://domain.com with a trailing slash after the domain, otherwise, it’s counting it as linking to a URL that redirects.

For example, if the URL is “https://domain.com” it links to that domain, and afterward redirects to “https://domain.com/”

Question 1: How do I ad a trailing slash to those URLs?
Question 2: Is it possible to add anchor text to the URLs?

I have attached the code in the “Sensitive Data” section for you to see.

    Thank you!

  • Hi, I just wanted to add that the editor modified the URLs I wrote. It should be https://domain.com and http://domain.com/ – I don’t know why it added those numbers after the trailing slash.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I can suggest that you head over to your WP settings > Permalinks and if you have a custom structure you can add the trailing slash from there and click save.

If the trailing slash is still not present, I can suggest that you reach out to your host and seek their help in adding a redirection to add a trailing slash in your domain. After that, it should be implemented to all anchor links of your content.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Thank you.
How about the anchor text, is it possible to add to the URLs?

    Hello,

Thank you for keeping in touch with us.

I’m not quite sure whether I fully understand the question. But I’ll do my best and please let me know if I misunderstood.

Are you referring to adding additional information to the URLs added to your schema? If so, then this might lead to additional errors. Any schema link defines a specific property field thus there is no way one can add an anchor text there. You can only add anchor links when displaying actual schema to the front end with schema types like the FAQ.

This might be possible by using filter functions but Rich Results Tests might find it non-eligible for Google.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
