  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

The schema type you choose depends on the variables that are included in your listings, for instance, you can use service schema type if you only wish to include the type and price, where else you can choose product in a case where you wish to add product details such as ratings, SKU, Brand among other data. You can check here: https://rankmath.com/kb/rich-snippets/ to learn more about the different schema types in Rank math

Hope this helps you. Thank you.

    Hello,

In categories you don’t have to set any schema since the schema is just used in posts and pages (places where you have content). Since categories are just lists of posts and pages, they don’t use schema data.

    Looking forward to help you.

In my coupon site I have stoers section. There I need to use faq schema. Can you help me on this.

    Hello,

I suppose then you will use product categories. You don’t need to set there a schema, as I said. The posts (or in this case, products), will add the right structured data in the category. You can see how it works by checking https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool with your category URLs, and you will see the right structured data added there.

    Looking forward to help you.

    Hello,

Rank Math uses the WebSite schema, which is similar. If you want to use others, you will need to set your custom one as explained in this thread: https://support.rankmath.com/ticket/custom-schema-structure/

    Looking forward to help you.

    Dear Alberto,

Thanks and I didn’t see option in dropdown to select it. Is article schema is similar to webpage schema. Tks

    Hello,

WebSite schema is automatically added by Rank Math (you can check it by going to https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool and checking your homepage).

For posts, you could use the Article schema for general articles or if you have something more specific (like a product or a recipe), you could use their schemas.

    Looking forward to help you.

Thak you verymuch your prompt reply. How can I add FAQ schema to below listing type.

    Hello,

Are you using a page editor or the Gutenberg editor?

If you are using the Gutenberg editor, it is really easy, as I show you in this screencast: https://i.rankmath.com/fCqZee

Adding a FAQ block to an Elementor page (or another page editor) is not as straightforward as it could be (due to the limitations of not allowing the use of Gutenberg blocks inside Elementor), but, there’s a workaround.

Here’s a screencast showing the process:
    https://i.rankmath.com/DefBHH

When someone switches to the Block/Gutenberg Editor, adds an FAQ Block, and goes back to the Elementor – the FAQ block is going to be removed but only from the frontend. The code remains intact in the source code. One can add the HTML of the questions and answers again.

With that being said, there are existing feature requests, so I’ve added your vote to our internal suggestions lists. If your suggestions are something that we’re able to introduce, I’ll be sure to let you know.

I hope that helps. If there’s anything else we can help you with, please let us know.
