Hi, I have an attribute “colour” for my products in woocommerce. Each colour has a page. I’d like to make sure that the right schema type is used for these pages. Please advise on how to do so. Thanks!

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.
You don’t need to apply any Schema type to the attribute page. The attribute pages are archives, and our plugin automatically adds the CollectionPage Schema to the archive pages, which is the best Schema for the archives.

Thanks! that indeed worked. I have two more questions:
1. My next question is about the Open Graph protocol on attribite pages which is:
<meta property=”og:type” content=”article” />Why is the type = article? I consider this as a shop/product/collection page. Is there a more appropriate type that I use for my attribute pages?
2. On these same attribute pages, the schema type is ‘CollectionPage’, while in my case as an online shop, it should be ProductColelction: https://schema.org/ProductCollection. Is there a way to fix this?
Hello,
1. Using ‘article’ for attribute pages is appropriate as it indicates a page with specific content, which can include product attributes. It’s a common practice and won’t affect your SEO negatively
2. That property is not actively supported for Google rich snippets. You can still keep the
CollectionPage
snippets as they will help Google and other search engines better understand the relationship between your products.Hope that helps.
