Schema problems

  • Hello,

The brand snippet seems to have been missing a closing quote on assigning the entity value. You seem to have already figured this out and added it as now it seems to be activated and showing the brand name when you test your products in Google rich results test tool:
    https://search.google.com/test/rich-results?id=AKSHewvUexmobY7ZdvHHow

The errors on product categories show up when the fields are missing in the products included in the category. To avoid this error we recommend removing product schema from product categories. You can do this by enabling the option to remove snippet in Rank math > Titles & Meta > Product Categories:
    img

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hi Michael,

Your answer to turn off snippet date for categories isn’t going to fix the warning that ‘Not all markup is eligible for rich results’

And you said this warning is because the fields are missing from the individual products, however I tested a category with only 3 products, the products all have the brand and two have reviews.

But when I test the category for correct schema it says that the products are missing brand as well as SKU and Image which is completely wrong (they all have SKU, Image and Brand!!)

There is definitely something wrong with the way Category Schema is being compiled.

Please see these 3 product results and compare to the category they are in.

Is there any update on this?

    Hello,

Google recommends that you disable the product Schema on the product category archives.
    https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/product

Here is a quote from that page:
Use markup for a specific product, not a category or list of products. For example, "shoes in our shop" is not a specific product. Currently, product rich results only support pages that focus on a single product. We recommend focusing on adding markup to product pages instead of pages that list products or a category of products.

So, it is best that you disable Schema on the product category archives.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
