Schema Markup Not Showing for Streaming Website

    Hi Rank Math team,

First of all, thank you for the amazing plugin — it’s been a major part of my SEO toolkit!

I’m currently working on optimizing a Polish-language streaming website called Strumyk TV, which focuses on family-safe and Christian content. The site uses custom post types for video entries, and I’d like to implement appropriate VideoObject schema for better visibility in Google Search (especially in video results and rich snippets).

I’ve enabled schema on the post types via Rank Math, but when I test URLs using the Rich Results Test and Schema Validator, the VideoObject markup doesn’t always appear — or it shows incomplete data (e.g., missing uploadDate or contentUrl).

    Here are my questions:

Is there a recommended way to implement custom video schema on streaming sites using Rank Math?

Can I override or extend the schema manually without interfering with Rank Math’s built-in functionality?

Would you recommend using Custom Schema Builder for this use case?

The site is built with WordPress + Elementor, and all videos are embedded via a secure player.

Appreciate your help in ensuring proper schema markup for Strumyk TV — I’d love to showcase it in search results properly.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the schema markup on your streaming website. Thank you for your kind words about our plugin; we’re glad to hear it’s been helpful for your SEO efforts!

To implement appropriate VideoObject schema for your site, here are some steps and recommendations:

    1. Ensure Schema Module is Enabled

Make sure that the Schema module is enabled in Rank Math. You can check this by navigating to Rank Math SEO → Dashboard in your WordPress admin area.

    2. Adding Video Schema Markup

To add Video Schema markup to your posts or pages, follow these steps:

    • Edit the post or page where your video is embedded.
    • Open Rank Math in the Gutenberg sidebar by clicking on the Rank Math SEO icon.
    • Navigate to the Schema tab and select VideoObject from the Schema Generator.

This will allow you to fill in the necessary fields such as uploadDate, contentUrl, and others. Here’s a visual guide:
    Click on Schema Generator

    3. Customizing Schema Markup

If you need to override or extend the schema manually, you can do so without interfering with Rank Math’s built-in functionality. You can use the Custom Schema Builder feature in Rank Math to create a custom schema that fits your needs. This allows you to add specific properties that may not be included by default.

    4. Testing Your Schema

After implementing the schema, use the Rich Results Test and Schema Validator to ensure that the VideoObject markup is correctly implemented and complete. If you notice any missing fields, double-check that they are filled out in the Rank Math settings for that post.
