Schema markup for FAQs

    Hello,

When I set up the website at theautobandits.com we used the accordian module to add FAQs to multiple pages. We are trying to avoid having to migrate to a special Divi module in order to add schema markup for these items. I configured your plug-in to add schema markup to our pages but when I test any page using the Google Rich Results tool, no results are reported. I tried following instructions provided by your AI chatbot but none seems applicable (e.g., there are no rank checker metaboxes showing up on our pages in WP).

Can you help? Let me know if you need me to give you access to the WP admin and what email address to send a user login to. Thank you.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the schema markup for your FAQs. To ensure that your FAQ questions are eligible for rich results, we recommend using Rank Math’s FAQ Block, which automatically adds the corresponding FAQ Schema. If you are using the Classic Editor or other page builders like Elementor or Divi, you can copy the FAQ questions as HTML and add them to any text element/module inside your page, then use the FAQ Schema with our Schema Generator.

If you have configured the plugin correctly and still do not see the Rank Math metaboxes on your pages, it might be due to a conflict with your theme or other plugins. We suggest checking if the Rank Math plugin is up to date and ensuring that the necessary modules are enabled in the Rank Math settings.

If you continue to experience issues, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.

There is no schema detected for the website because it is under construction.

Please check when the website is open.

Let us know how it goes. We look forward to hearing from you.

    Hi,

OK thanks… so I don’t need to migrate the accordian content to an FAQs block in Divi or elsewhere?

    Hello,

If you are trying to add the FAQ Schema using the Divi accordion module that option is only available in the PRO version of the plugin: https://rankmath.com/blog/divi-seo/#faq-accordion

When the website is live you can test the pages once again and see what modifications need to be made to the Schema markup and if you need our assistance with that you can also ping us here.

    Thank you.

OK so if we sign up for the Pro plan we will not have to migrate our FAQs from Divi’s accordian module to the Rank Math FAQ block in order to add the schema?

    Hello,

Yes, that’s correct but we should also mention that the FAQ Schema holds very little value now with the changes made to the Google algorithm last year: https://developers.google.com/search/blog/2023/08/howto-faq-changes

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

Oh wow! That’s good to know. Thanks very much!

    Hello,

We are glad that everything has been sorted out.

Do you still need our assistance with anything else?

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.
