    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and we regret the inconvenience caused.

There are a few things you have to keep in mind when using any SEO plugin, not just Rank Math.

    1. An SEO plugin alone cannot bring down or bring up the rankings in a day (or even a few days) unless incorrect Meta Tags are used by setting up the plugin improperly. That’s why we have a detailed tutorial on that:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-setup/

    2. All the SEO plugins add Meta tags for the search engines which can be checked by viewing the source of a page. For instance, here:
    view-source:https://rankmath.com/

Other popular plugins generate similar tags:

And with the Rank Math plugin, additional tags are added to a page so search engines can understand the content on a website better.

    3. Google brings a new algorithmic update several times a month and the chances are great that your website got hit by that.

We have a full guide on that: https://rankmath.com/blog/google-algorithm-update-recovery/

Please check the coverage report under your Google Search Console account to see if there are any errors shown, that might be causing the issue.

Also, upon investigating the post, I tested it with Google’s Rich Results testing tool and noticed that you’ve added a Product schema to the page.

As per Google’s guidelines, the Product schema is meant to be used only on single product pages. As this doesn’t seem like a product page, you should remove the product schema from it.

Once done, you can clear your website’s cache and continue optimizing your website and hopefully, the rankings would be recovered with time.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

I want to add a review but the only schema that seems to fit is the product schema. If The product schema fails in the rich reaults testing tool but the review schema works, will it still show my review snippet on Google?

    Hello,

The review schema needs to be implemented together with the relevant content type for it to be picket up as a rich snippet. Please refer to the Google Review Snippet guidelines for a list of available content types https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/structured-data/review-snippet

Rank Math PRO has additional schema types, and the functionality to create custom schema.

I hope that answers you. If you have questions, do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help.
