Schema issues

    Hi Rank Math,

I want to add multiple schema types on the same page — for example WebPage/FAQPage, Service, HowTo, Product, and OfferCatalog.

When I go to Rank Math → Schema Templates → Add New, it looks like I can only select one schema type at a time (e.g. FAQ, Service, Product). When I click Use, only that type is added — not all of them together.

I can import a full JSON-LD block that contains all schema types, but Rank Math seems to overwrite or only allow one at a time.

    My questions are:

How can I enable or insert a combined schema with multiple types on the same landing page?

Should I use “Custom JSON-LD Code” inside a template for this?

Is there a best practice in Rank Math for handling multiple schema types on a single page without conflicts?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with adding multiple schema types on the same page. Thank you for raising this concern.

To add multiple schema types using Rank Math PRO, you can utilize the Schema Generator feature. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Enable the Schema Module: Ensure that the Schema (Structured Data) module is enabled in your Rank Math settings under Rank Math SEO → Dashboard.
      Schema (Structured Data)

    2. Navigate to the Schema Generator: In your Post/Page editor, click on the Schema Tab of Rank Math. You can then click on the Schema Generator button.

    3. Add Multiple Schema Types: After adding your first schema type, you can click the Schema Generator button again to add another schema type. This allows you to stack multiple schema types on the same page.
      Click Schema Generator Once Again

    4. Save Your Changes: Make sure to save your post after adding all desired schema types.

If you want to use a combined schema with multiple types, you can also consider using the Custom JSON-LD Code option. This allows you to manually input a JSON-LD block that includes all the schema types you need. However, ensure that the JSON-LD code is correctly formatted to avoid conflicts.

As for best practices, it’s generally recommended to avoid duplicating properties across different schema types. Instead, focus on using the appropriate schema types that complement each other without overlapping properties.
