Schema generator types

    Rank Math free

    Hello,

I’m currently using Rank Math with the Local SEO module activated. My website is configured as a Local Business through the plugin settings, and the main business data (address, geo coordinates, business type, etc.) is already declared globally.

I have a question regarding the schema implementation on individual landing pages. For example:
    mysite.com/restaurant-transfer-barcelona

Given that the Local Business schema is already applied sitewide, do I need to repeat that information (e.g. Organization, Place, ContactPoint) on each specific service page?

Or should I instead only declare a Service schema (e.g. “@type”: “Service”) related to the offering on that page, along with “@type”: “WebPage” and breadcrumbs?

If so, could you please clarify:

Which schema types are recommended for individual service pages when Local SEO is active?

How should I build that schema to comply with Google guidelines and avoid duplication or errors?

Do you recommend using the Schema Generator to insert the structured data manually?

I have limited technical knowledge and want to implement this the right way.

Thank you very much for your help.

    Best regards,

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing. Thank you for raising your concern regarding schema implementation on individual landing pages.

When using Rank Math with the Local SEO module activated, you do not need to repeat the Local Business schema information (like Organization, Place, ContactPoint) on each specific service page. Instead, it is recommended to use the Service schema for those pages that are dedicated to specific services you offer. This helps search engines understand the content of your service pages better and can improve your visibility in search results.

Recommended Schema Types for Individual Service Pages:

    1. Service Schema: This should be the primary schema type for your service pages. It allows you to specify details about the service being offered.
    2. WebPage Schema: This can be included to indicate that the page is a webpage.
    3. BreadcrumbList Schema: If applicable, this helps in providing breadcrumb navigation for better user experience and SEO.

    Building the Schema:

    • You can use the Schema Generator in Rank Math to create and insert the Service schema easily. This tool allows you to fill in the necessary details without needing extensive technical knowledge.
    • Ensure that you include relevant properties for the Service schema, such as:
      • name: The name of the service.
      • description: A brief description of what the service entails.
      • offers: Information about pricing and availability if applicable.

    Avoiding Duplication or Errors:

    • Since the Local Business schema is already applied sitewide, focus on adding only the Service schema on individual service pages. This avoids duplication of the Local Business information and keeps your structured data clean and compliant with Google guidelines.
    • Always validate your structured data using Google’s Rich Results Test to ensure there are no errors before publishing your changes.
