Schema for a main page - Support

Hello! I am trying to make a Schema.org markup for a main page of my site. I have turned my main page to a Schema “Product”. But services like this https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool show me, that there are only three sections: “hentry”, “LocalBusiness” and “WebSite”. No matter what type of Schema I choose for this page – I see no other sections. But I see additional Schema sections for my non-main pages, like http://mydomain.com/about or http://mydomain.com/address

Is it possible to add section “Product” for a main page of a site (main page is simply http://mydomain.com)? My site is dedicated to the only one product, so I don’t have pages like http://mydomain.com/product1, all information is on the main page

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

If you are using a static page, you can do that just like adding a product Schema to any other page.

If not, you will need to do it with a bit of code. Just open your index.php file of your theme and add the Schema you can generate from here:

https://technicalseo.com/tools/schema-markup-generator/

“If you are using a static page, you can do that just like adding a product Schema to any other page”- actually I use static page, but this feature still doesn’t work for me. Maybe some issues with WordPress theme I use

So I have chosen your second option, thank you for advice! But I had to import this code to header.php file, because importing to a index.php had no effect for my site 🤷‍♀️
