Please login to your web server via FTP and delete the robots.txt file present in the root folder.
It is the same folder where you have your wp-content, wp-admin
etc.. folders.
Once you delete the robots.txt file, Rank Math’s virtual robots.txt file will take over and you will be able to edit the robots.txt file without issues.
If you are not sure about the file location, you can get in touch with your web host and ask them to delete the file.

If you don’t know how to access the FTP then please contact your web host and ask them to delete the robots.txt file for you. I am sure that they will happily help you.
Once they confirm that the robots.txt file has been deleted from the root folder, try editing the file using Rank Math and let us know if the issue persists.
