When I checked for Robots.txt file in google tester tool, Then I got this error “robots.txt fetch failed”, and it further said

“You have a robots.txt file that we are currently unable to fetch. In such cases we stop crawling your site until we get hold of a robots.txt, or fall back to the last known good robots.txt file.”

please help me solve this issue as my robots.txt file is generated by your plugin only.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

I have updated the sensitive data. Kindly Solve This Issue ASAP.

    Hello,

You seem to have a robots.txt file in your root folder in which case Rank math cannot generate the virtual robots.txt.

Please login to your site cPanel and head to file manager, find the robots.txt file and delete or rename it. That should fix your issue. You can test your robots.txt here: https://technicalseo.com/tools/robots-txt/

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
