Robots meta tags are not updating

    Rank Math free

    I have configured the Robots Meta to Index in the 
RankMath => Titles & Meta => Global Meta section.

    However, when I access the post by url,
    
and Inspect those meta tags in the browser,
    
I found the RankMath settings are NOT applying,

    the robots tag remains as noindex, nofollow,
    the expected results should be index, follow instead.

    

It seems the meta tags cannot reflect the settings that I made in RankMath.
    
The results are the same when I query the <head> information by using the API,
/rankmath/v1/getHead.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    Could you please check if you have enabled the option to prevent Search Engines from indexing the website under WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Reading?

    If you have that enabled, please disable it and check the source code of the pages.

    After checking the console,
    I found that the option “Discourage search engines from indexing this site”
    has already been disabled.

    Please head over to Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Posts > Enable Post Robots Meta > Check index checkbox.

    If it is already enabled, we might need to take a closer look at the settings.
