Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Please login to your web server via FTP and delete the robots.txt file present in the root folder.
It is the same folder where you have your wp-content, wp-admin
etc.. folders.
Once you delete the robots.txt file, Rank Math’s virtual robots.txt file will take over and you will be able to edit the robots.txt file without issues.

Yes, that is the static file.
Since you already found the robots.txt file, you can simply edit that file and add the line you mentioned above.
However, if you wanted Rank Math to generate your robots.txt virtually and make modifications in Rank Math > General Settings > Edit robots.txt, you may need to delete (or at least rename) that file.
