Rich Snippet type options not showing

I’d like to set up rich snippets for my Easy Digital Downloads pages (post type: download; rich snippet type: product) and blog posts (post type: post; rich snippet type: article or other).
However, in the editing page, under the “rich snippets” tab, only the options “none” and “product” are available, both for posts and downloads. Besides, even if I select “product”, nothing happens.
When I change the default rich snippet type for certain post types, I do have all the options for posts, but even if I set it to “article”, it doesn’t affect the editing page.
