Reset Roles and Capabilities for Admin

    Hello!

    I have been working with a developer and in an attempt to restrict his access, I removed Admin capabilities to access most of Rank Math’s sections so I can’t access them.

    Is there a way for me to reset Admin capabilities and regain full access?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    You need to go to your database (for example using PhpMyAdmin) and in the table users, check your user ID.

    After that, go to the table usermeta and look for a row called capabilities with your user ID and replace the current text with this one:

    a:1:{s:13:"administrator";s:1:"1";}

    Warning: Modifying the database is dangerous so be cautious and also make a database backup before doing any changes.

    Another option would be to delete all of Rank math data(which will reset everything from Rank math) and then reinstall the plugin.
    You can use this filter to ensure you clear all data: https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#clear-rm-data

    To ensure your settings are not all lost, head to Rank math > Status & Tools > Export & Import and export your settings which you can import when you reinstall.
