    Rank Math free

I have been using the Instant Indexing plugin for a long time and recently a 404 error message appears at get Google URL Status: “Requested entity was not found.
“I have read here that only job posting and broadcasting pages are accepted by Google. Doesn’t it make sense to deactivate the plugin? And what about Indexnow if I deactivate the plugin?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and bringing your concern to our attention.

Google only allows the API only for two types of websites (job posting and live streams) and goes through rigorous spam detection due to recent changes in Google, it’s much more difficult to get URLs into the API.

So, unless you have one of the website types we mentioned and the content is unique, you won’t be able to use this feature consistently and you shouldn’t as the API was never intended for it as mentioned in our own documentation also.

Regarding the IndexNow, you can use that even after deactivating the Instant Indexing plugin as the IndexNow feature is included in the Rank Math plugin.

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
