Removing Category and Product from URLs

    Hello,

    We need to configure Rank Math on our WooCommerce website – in addition to the wonderful SEO features – we need to remove category and product from URLs

    We switched ‘On’ Remove Base and Remove Category Base – but this is turning out to be hit and miss. As in, we are running into 404 errors and to guard against, my dev went back to setting it ‘Off’

    Our Permalink structure is a shown in attached screenshot. Please suggest the right permalink and redirection settings, and any other configuration to make this work correctly.

    SOS URGENT: Hey Michael,

    Thanks for the update. But we are in a really bad situation after the change

    We are having lot of 404’s or getting error too many redirects. We need to resolve this URGENTLY or disable these settings. Please also check the redirect settings

    Need to resolve or roll back ASAP. Please assist.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

    The issue is coming up because of your redirection. When you strip the category base, you seem to have redirected your product to a URL containing product-category/product/ which is non existent since the product category has been striped from the existing URL. To avoid this issue, you should disable the redirection to your product categories.
    I have attached a screenshot where I deactivated a redirection on related category and you can see in the URL RM has striped the category base and it still works(I reverted to your settings).
