  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please head over to your WordPress dashboard > Settings > Permalinks, and hit the “Save Changes” button (without making any changes).

Once done, clear your website and browser’s cache and see if that fixes the issue.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

Sorry the solution didn’t work, I added login information
This issue seems to going on for a while and causing duplicate content on google

    Hello,

The login link you have shared is not working. Could you please check?

Meanwhile, please try adding this regex redirect:

    Source: categories/toys-and-games/(.*)
    Destination: https://www.yoppia.com/categories/$1

Here’s a link on how to add the regex:

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,
    I updated the login information
The solution you mentioned will not work as the problem is related to all category pages

Hello, do you have an update on the situation?
I already tested the redirect and it missed the main category, it removed the main category from the URL
    https://www.yoppia.com/categories/toys-and-games/page/3/
    https://www.yoppia.com/categories/page/3/ 404

    Hello,

Apologies for the delay as this ticket seems to have been stuck in our drafts section for some reason.

Upon further checking your site, it seems that you have changed the base of your product category from “product-category” to “categories” in your permalinks.

To use the Remove Parent Slug option in Rank Math, you may need to use the default base (product-category) and the redirection should also apply to the old URLs:

    From: /product-category/toys-and-games/action-and-toy-figures/page/3/
    To: /product-category/action-and-toy-figures/page/3/

P.S. I didn’t change the permalinks option on your site yet as your site is live.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

But it was working fine with the base change to “categories” as it was like that for more than one year now and I tested before and it was working fine
I just tested by removing the custom base and used “product-category” but unfortunately it didn’t solve the problem
I checked the cronical url for https://www.yoppia.com/categories/toys-and-games/action-and-toy-figures/page/3/ and it shows https://www.yoppia.com/categories/action-and-toy-figures/ but it seems that google somtimes ignore it for some reason

    Hello,

Apologies for the inconvenience, but we have confirmed this as a bug in the Remove Parent Slug option, and our developers are already aware of the situation.

However, since the canonical is already pointing to the correct version of the URL, Google will know which one should be indexed.

Once we have already released the fix in the coming updates, we will update all our users using the usual communication channels. You can also keep an eye on our changelog here:
    https://rankmath.com/changelog/

We would really appreciate your kind patience regarding this matter.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    Thank you.
