Remove FAQ sitemap

    Hello. I recently had a website audit and it was recommended that I remove the FAQ sitemap, as I’m not using it. But I can’t figure out how to remove this one sitemap. Can you please help?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

    By default, Rank Math doesn’t generate FAQ Sitemap.

    However, you can manage the pages you wish to only show under Rank Math > Sitemap settings. Please check if the faq is showing on the left side under post types or taxonomies:

    If it’s there, then just disable the Include in Sitemap button to remove the FAQ sitemap.

    If you have already done that, then make sure that your sitemaps are not being cached by following these steps:

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server.

    If the issue still persists, please also share your sitemap URL to check on our end.
