Remove domain name from above title in social media posts?

    Hi,
I’m curious if it’s possible to remove the domain name from above the title in the social media snippets for Facebook and Twitter. For example, currently beneath the picture/image it shows displays:

    http://www.whateverdomain.com <<<<
THIS IS THE TITLE OF THE POST
This is the short description of it blah blah

Is there a way to build the snippet without having the domain name at the top? I know it a useful thing to have it there for promotional reasons, I was simply wondering if it could be left off if desired.
    Thanks,
    Christian

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

The domain part is required to show when sharing links on Facebook. It’s a security feature so that users know what domain they will be visiting.

    I hope that helps.

Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.

Thanks very much, I did wonder if that might be the case so no worries!
