Hey
Is there a chance to remove the author section from the sitemap?
Thank you

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Yes, to remove that you simply need to set all your author pages to be
noindexand the author sitemap should no longer appear after that.Hope this helps solve your issues.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
How do I set all author pages to be noindex?
Hello,
Please head over to your WordPress admin area > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Authors, and set the Author Robots Meta to No Index:
Once done, please follow the below steps and see if that removes the author sitemap:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/In case the sitemap still exists, please head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Users, and edit the users.
Then, scroll down and from the Advanced tab of Rank Math’s SEO Meta Box, set the Robots Meta to No Index. This should remove the authors from the sitemap and eventually the author sitemap.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
In the author page I only have an On/Off toggle.
I was able to remove the author by setting the no index from dashboard – users – edit. It also worked why I excluded the admin from
sitemap settings – authors – exclude user roles AdminBut why the authors section in my account tiles & meta looks different (only on/off toggle).
Thank You
Hello,
Do note that some options are only available when you enable the Advanced Mode in Rank Math. If it’s not showing, you must have chosen to use the Easy Mode. Please follow the steps in this link to switch to Advanced Mode:
https://rankmath.com/kb/advanced-mode/Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
I am using RankMath in advanced mode, but the Titles & Meta Authors section only shows an on/off toggle with this message:

Enables or disables Author Archives. If disabled, the Author Archives are redirected to your homepage. To avoid duplicate content issues, noindex author archives if you keep them enabled.

Any help?
Hello,
Please enable the Author Archives, then enable Author Robots Meta > Check index checkbox
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
I don’t have that option in my Author Tabs.
Titles & Meta Authors section only shows an on/off toggle with this message:

Enables or disables Author Archives. If disabled, the Author Archives are redirected to your homepage. To avoid duplicate content issues, noindex author archives if you keep them enabled.

Hello,
We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
Thank You
