  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the redirection on your client’s website. Since you mentioned that the redirection does not appear in the "Redirections" feature of Rank Math, it might be due to a different configuration or a cached redirect.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

    1. Check for Cached Redirects: Sometimes, cached pages can cause redirects to persist. Clear any caching plugins or server-side caches that might be affecting the URL.
    2. Debug Redirection Feature: Use Rank Math’s Debug Redirection feature to identify where the redirect is coming from. This can help you pinpoint the source of the issue.
    3. Review Other Plugins: Ensure that no other plugins are causing the redirect. Sometimes, other SEO or redirection plugins can interfere with Rank Math.
    4. Check .htaccess File: If you have access to the server, check the .htaccess file for any manual redirects that might have been added.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will take over and assist you further.

Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention. We hope to help you resolve it soon!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

Please confirm that there is no attachment on the site with the same slug as the affected page.

You can initially disable the Redirect Attachment option from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math SEO > General Settings > Links for initial troubleshooting.

let us know how that goes.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Do you have any updates on this?

    Thank you! Best,
    Selda

    Hello,

You’ll have to change the slug of the attachment page. Even if you manage to redirect the attachment page, the slug is still active in WordPress so you can’t use it for your post.

Let us know how that goes. If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hi Jeremy,

    Thank you for your answer.

We deleted the image and now the URL is 404 as expected: https://www.rosenfeldinjurylawyers.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/train-accident-lawyer.jpg

Could you please let us know how to release the slug? (Our client hasn’t approved sharing the WP credentials yet).

Hope to hear from you soon.

    All the best,
    Selda

    Hello,

The URL is no longer redirecting to the homepage, and it is already showing a 404 error.

Could you please confirm if you can use the slug now?

You can clear your website’s cache as well for troubleshooting.

Let us know how this goes.

    Hi Reinelle,

Happy to let you know that we released the slug and can create a link o at that slug. Please see it here: https://imgur.com/a/WPg9W4W

Thank you very much for all the support.

    Best,
    Selda
