Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
You need to ensure that your sitemap is being re-crawled by Google. Upon checking your sitemap, it shows a blank page.
The first thing you need to do is determine whether you have a blank page or a white page.
Please refer to this link in our KB on how to fix sitemap issues:
https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-sitemap-issues/I hope this resolves your issue.
Hey, thanks a lot for replying but truly I don’t think that there is a problem from my sitemap as in the rank math sitemaps I found this sitemap-
https://www.washingmachinemart.in/sitemap_index.xmland I think that this is working fine, well I again submitted the sitemap to the google webmaster please tell me now what can be the issue one more thing that please help me out to solve this issue as soon as possible as I am continuously loosing up my rankings.
Hello,
Thank you for following up.
I’ve checked your site, and it seems that the description is already set as well in your page source. You can also check the description using this tool:
https://www.heymeta.com/In this case, you must check if Google has seen the changes already or not.
For that, please check when the Google cache was updated for that page:
a.
b.If the cache date is from before adding the new meta description, you have to wait for Google to re-crawl and re-index the page with the new info. If the date is after you made the changes, you have to wait it out, and there is no further input needed from your end.
Do note that if everything’s fine and Google still decides to show a different meta title/description for your search keyword, there is nothing you can do as Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.
Here are some of the common reasons Google might not use the meta description you provided:
– The meta description is not relevant or useful (ie, just a collection of keywords).
– The exact same meta description is provided across a large number of pages.
– The meta description doesn’t match what the user is searching for, but other content on the page does. There is a whole article dedicated to this on SearchEngineJournal:
https://www.searchenginejournal.com/google-offers-suggestions-for-avoiding-meta-description-rewrites/359884/Here is an example showing Google changes title depending on the keyword used:
&
The best you can do is optimize your meta tags to match the search/keyword’s intent.
I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.
Hey, thanks a lot for clearing some issues but as you said that google sometimes ignores the custom meta but I don’t know why this thing is happening with all of my articles and my competitors have already updated their current year and google has also accepted that thing and showing the correct year that is 2021.
I think that is this the issue from the Rank Maths edit snippet.
The recent cached date is 6 Jan that is after the recent update of the meta title.
Well now in this case what should I do?Hello,
I’ve checked your site now, and it looks like it’s already working fine in Google search results. Please see the screenshot in the designated Sensitive Data section.
You can also clear your browser’s cache or use a different browser if it’s still not showing on your end.
I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.
Hey, one update I have that I just found out that even the BING and Yahoo are also showing the wrong year that is the previous year so this problem is not just with the Google only.
Hello,
Google is showing a version of your page cached on December 2020, here is a screenshot: https://i.rankmath.com/wKWqit, so is Bing: https://i.rankmath.com/VSudzQ
If the correct title shows up when you check your page source or test using third party tools such as https://www.heymeta.com/ then Rank math is adding the correct meta to your pages and it is either an issue with your page optimization to the search keyword or your page meta is not update yet in the Search Engine.
Hope this helps
