Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Your sitemap is redirecting to homepage which is the reason your having the error. Do you have any caching setup on your site? If you do, please add /(.*)sitemap(.*) to the list of URLs/Pages o never be cached. This will exclude your sitemap URLs from being cached. You can then do the following:
1. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks
Hit the save button once.
2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings
Hit the save button once.
That should fix the issue.
Please use a private browser to test your sitemap to avoid loading from browser cache or validate with this tool:https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/validate-xml-sitemap.html. If it works, you can resubmit your sitemap on your GSC(please submit only the main stemap=> sitemap_index.xml)
If it doesn’t, please do let us know so we can look at this further.
