Hello,
I apologize for the issue you are facing with the thousands of “Not found (404)” links in your Google Search Console. I understand how frustrating it can be to deal with such a large number of errors.
To address this issue and stop the 404 pages from appearing in your Google Search Console, you can use Rank Math’s powerful Redirection Manager to set up regex redirects for the URLs that start with “https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-setup/“.
Here’s how you can create a regex redirect in Rank Math:
- Navigate to the Redirections section in Rank Math’s dashboard.
- Add a new redirection and select the matching option as Regex.
- In the source URL field, add the regex pattern that matches the URLs you want to redirect.
- In the destination URL field, specify where you want these URLs to redirect to.
- Activate the redirect and save your changes.
By setting up a regex redirect in Rank Math for the URLs causing the 404 errors, you can effectively redirect your visitors to the correct URLs and improve their user experience.
If you need further assistance or encounter any difficulties while setting up the regex redirect, please feel free to reply to this ticket, and a human agent from our support team will assist you promptly.
Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern. We are here to help you resolve this issue and improve your website’s performance.

Sorry, you didn’t understand.
I’ve already did the REGEX redirection on Jan 31.
It’s not a “normal” 404.
It’s like a SPAM, a hacker.
Yoast has a solution for that: https://yoast.com/internal-site-search-spam/
But I don’t want to use Yoast.
Can you help me, please?
I mean, there’s no “correct URL” to redirect the users.
The 404 results appear just on Google Search Console.
The 404 link doesn’t exist – I have no idea how and why they are appearing in my Google Search Console.
1. Navigate to the Redirections section in Rank Math’s dashboard. → OK
2. Add a new redirection and select the matching option as Regex. → OK
3. In the source URL field, add the regex pattern that matches the URLs you want to redirect.
→ I’ve wrote “dr0nd2/(.*)” – but it doesn’t work. Is it right?
4. In the destination URL field, specify where you want these URLs to redirect to.
→ I’ve checked “410 Content Deleted” so no “destination URL” option for me.
5. Activate the redirect and save your changes.
I didn’t understand how to set ” https://mundodasfigurinhas.com.br/dr0nd2/archive.php?post=” domain in these options.
Please help me.
Hello, any news for my situation?
Just let me know.
If you can’t help me, no problem.
I will return using Yoast.
I just need to know asap.
Because the solution proposed by you didn’t work.
Hello? Are you ignoring me?
Just let me know if you’re going to help me or not, so I can move on with my life!
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math support. Sorry for the unexpected delay and any inconvenience caused due to that.
Please note that this issue is not an internal site search spam. The URLs are not search result pages. We also have the option to Noindex Search Results pages, but that won’t work since the issue is not with the indexing of unwanted pages.
Our Redirections module will also not be able to help you since the 404 error is coming from your server, and it won’t allow the redirection you set in our plugin to take effect.
The best solution in this case is to block Google from crawling such URLs using your site’s robots.txt file:
Disallow: *archive.php?post=*
Here is how to edit your site’s robots.txt file with our plugin: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-edit-robots-txt-with-rank-math/
You should also use the URL inspection tool of your GSC account to discover the referring page and figure out where Google is discovering the URLs. Once you have the referring page, you can remove the links to prevent Google from discovering them.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
OK, I will try your solution and let you know in 96 hours.
Thanks – and sorry the messages I didn’t notice the first reply was an automated reply.
