Regex not working

Hi, i’m trying to setup up Redirects in Bulk through a Regex Rule.

The goal is to redirect any URLs under the subfolder /be-nl/ to the same page under the root domain.

[URLs moved to sensitive data section]

This is because we are getting rid of the be-nl language subfolder.

The Redirect rule I’ve currently set up is as follows:

    Source URL
    /be-nl/(.*)

    Destination
    /$1

Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong, or I to achieve my goal?

    Thank you so much!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and we regret the inconvenience caused.

You’ll need to mention the full URL of the website in the destination URL field.

Please update the redirection with the below values and see if it gives you the desired output:

    Source: /be-nl/(.*)
    Type: RegEx
    Destination: https://www.example.com/$1

Please replace https://www.example.com with your actual domain.

After updating, please clear your website’s cache and see if it gives you the desired redirection.

Let us know how that goes.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I edited the Redirect and deleted Cache, but it’s still not working.

Do you know what I’m doing wrong?

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
