Hello,
Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
1. Currently, Rank Math or any other SEO plugin is not able to detect the correct word count for the Chinese language. Therefore you are seeing an incorrect word count in the content analysis.
So you can simply ignore the test as the SEO score is only for your reference and will not affect your site’s SEO performance. Web crawlers will be able to detect the correct word count and that’s what matters. You can also disable the test by using the following filter on your site:https://rankmath.com/kb/disable-seo-content-tests/#length-of-the-content
2. The URL that you are seeing is the UTF-8 encoding that is required for the browsers to understand the URLs and pass them to the server to make requests. There is no issue with that. And if you want to switch to the post ID then you can simply ignore the test. Or you can disable the test: https://rankmath.com/kb/disable-seo-content-tests/#keyword-in-permalink
Here is how to add the filters to your site: https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/
Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.
I directly added those filters to theme’s folder not its child folder and it is workable.
I had tried created child folder to save Rank-Math.php, but web’s page layout is back to its original state, not what I set it to be. Can you tell me how to build a child theme and then add the filter while keeping the theme settings in place?
Since your SEO plugin is not able to detect the correct word count for the Chinese language…etc.. In addition to setting these filters, can you provide a scoring method suitable for Chinese language users?
Hello,
You can follow this guide to create a child theme: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-create-a-wordpress-child-theme-video/
And if you are having issues with the child theme then the best way to add the filters to your site is using the Code Snippets plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/
We are constantly working on improving our plugin and we already have feature requests regarding this. I have added your vote to our internal list of suggestions. You can keep an eye on our changelog to get notified when we add the support for the correct count of the Chinese characters: https://rankmath.com/changelog/
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch in case you need any other assistance.
Thanks.
