Redirects vs. Canonical URLs from other site

What would be more beneficial for SEO to a domain that purchased 100% of the content from another domain?

Would a full domain redirect to the new domain be best? The other option would be to duplicate the content on the new site and add canonical URLs to the content pages on the old domain. Does either case raise red flags for SEO?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

If the acquired posts have already been ranked on search engines changing the canonical would raise red flags and cause some errors. I believe the best way forward would be to redirect the post URLs to the new domain.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
