  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear about the issue you are facing with redirecting dynamically generated 404 errors in WordPress. When it comes to redirecting dynamically generated 404 errors, it’s essential to ensure that the correct redirection rules are in place to handle these situations effectively.

If you are looking to redirect dynamically generated 404 errors, you can use the Rank Math redirection module to set up custom redirection rules for these specific URLs. By creating manual redirections in Rank Math, you can ensure that visitors are redirected to the correct pages, improving user experience and preventing link juice loss.

To create a manual redirection in Rank Math, you can follow these steps:

    1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard.
    2. Navigate to Rank Math SEO → Redirections.
    3. Enter the URL you want to redirect (the dynamically generated 404 error URL) as the Source URL.
    4. Enter the destination URL where you want to redirect the source URL to as the Destination URL.
    5. Choose the appropriate redirection type (e.g., 301 Permanent Redirect).
    6. Click on the Add Redirection button to save your custom redirection rule.

Here is an example of how you can create a manual redirection in Rank Math:

If you have multiple URLs that need to be redirected, you can also set up bulk 301 redirects using Rank Math.

For more information on setting up bulk 301 redirects in WordPress, you can refer to this guide: How to set up Bulk 301 Redirects in WordPress.

By setting up custom redirection rules using Rank Math, you can effectively manage dynamically generated 404 errors and ensure that visitors are redirected to relevant pages on your website.

If you need further assistance or encounter any issues while setting up the redirections, feel free to provide more details or screenshots, and we’ll be happy to help further.

Looking forward to assisting you with resolving this redirection issue.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that this issue might have caused.

Our plugin doesn’t support redirecting URLs from the site’s root folders like wp-content, wp-includes, etc. You will have to get in touch with your host and ask them to set a redirection rule in the server configuration file to redirect such URLs.

The best way to achieve this redirection is via the .htaccess file. You can follow this URL for more details on how you can do that: https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/website/setting-up-a-301-permanent-redirect-via-htaccess/

Here’s how you can edit the .htaccess file using Rank Math:

Please do take a backup before editing your .htaccess file.

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
