Can you clarify or take a screenshot to show us what you mean by “existing redirects”?
Generally when you mass-modify permalinks as such it is advised to go to WP > Settings > Permalinks and clicking on the save button once, it should clear some permalink structures.
You may also want to consult with the Translatepress developers or documentation as it may be a common issue.
