Redirection not imported

    Hi RankMath Support team,

    I had a redirection plugin (https://redirection.me/support/installation/) set up with some URLs before using RankMath. Its data was shown imported during the onboarding set up process. This plugin has been deactivated now. But I don’t see the redirections in place in Rank Math. Can you please tell me how to go about ensuring everything’s in place here? Grateful for the help!

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

    Could you please try creating a test redirect in Rank Math > Redirections? If it’s not showing, please head over to Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools > Re-create Tables and click the Re-create Tables button

    Recreate Database Tables

    Once done, head over to Rank Math > Status & Tools > Import & Export tab and export again the redirections.

    Please note that some options are only available when you enable the Advanced Mode in Rank Math. If it’s not showing, you must have chosen to use the Easy Mode. Please follow the steps in this link to switch to Advanced Mode:

    Hi Reinelle,

    I tried to execute the steps you mentioned. After recreating tables, I also managed to import the redirects from my previous plugin. But all the redirects don’t work after importing.

    The redirects specifically in my “wp-content” folder don’t work. For instance, this URL “https://elitecontentmarketer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/image4-1024×815.png” is supposed to redirect to an article “https://elitecontentmarketer.com/grammarly-review/.” But it doesn’t.

    I have enabled Cloudflare cache but purged that to ensure previous settings are taken care of.

    Can you please tell me how to go about fixing these issues?

    Hello,

    Rank Math redirection module doesn’t support the redirection from the wp-content folder. I can suggest that you add a redirect your .htaccess file to redirect the file like so:

    Redirect 301 /wp-content/uploads/2017/12/yourfilename.png /resources/documentation/fidelitybank/

    Or, You can stick with your previous plugin for this functionality.
