Could you confirm if these hits you are referring to are from Rank Math redirections? If so, the “hits” column gives you the total number of times the redirect has been accessed since you set it up. You can also check this link for more information:

I do not know how to get that information to you. I can not figure out how to attach a screenshot and/ or file to this confidential portal to support.
I have 106 redirections that I have created in rank math and many of them between 100 and 200 hundred hits that I can see in the log. How do I get that information to you?
I exported a .htaccess file from the redirection log- but I have no idea how to attach it to this support ticket.

Would you mind explaining what the issue exactly is so we can try to resolve that?
If you are having redirection hits on your site, it simply means your redirections are working and redirecting URLs as expected.
As for the hits and the htaccess details, we can take a look into them from your end. Please edit and include your WP Access details in the sensitive section.

I’ve already moved the credentials to the sensitive Data Section for your security.
I have also checked your site, and it seems that your redirection is already fine. As we have mentioned above, the “Hits” counter is not an error. It simply means how many times the redirection was accessed and successfully redirected. The 10.4k hits are the total hits for all of your created redirection. If you’re not getting hits with a redirection, it simply means that it was not yet accessed.

SEVERAL QUESTIONs and this ticket will be resolved:
So everything was set up properly and there was no duplication of redirection rules in a wp file?
There was no attack on the site generating this many hits?
Also, when I am logged in replying to your response to a ticket- how do I set the response as SENSITIVE DATA? I was able to do it several times – but I was not able to set it when I really needed to -did I miss something?

Is there any reason you would be suspecting an attack on your site? I recommend having a security plugin in place to secure your site from attacks.
That said, we may not be able to tell what’s causing the redirections. We usually just redirect your URLs according to your settings.
As for the sensitive section, you can find this by editing the first post on this ticket then fill the field as shown below:
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section.
