Hello,
Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
If you change the permalinks of any post/pages, then WordPress, by default, redirects the old slug to the new one.
Also if you have enabled Auto Post Redirect option inside General settings of the Rank Math then Rank Math extends the functionality of WordPress by automatically creating a redirect from the old URL to the new URL whenever you change the URL (slug) of a post.
You can learn more about here:
https://rankmath.com/kb/general-settings/#auto-post-redirect
Looking forward to helping you.
Autopost redirect is disabled,
I actually want to apply 410 redirect to this link:https://www.wearduke.com/top-12-best-walking-shoes-for-lower-back-pain-in-2021-expert-advice-for-hip-problem
And I did the same , but instead it redirects to the second link instead of showing 404
Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
I have instaled plugin. Now what to do next?
Hello,
Thank you for getting back to us.
Usually, the temporary login plugin is just used to create the login link which has an expiry date as well.
Go to the temporary login settings and after activating, we can go to the temporary login settings. You would require an email to which you can use, the s******@r***********
. The role should be Administrator and the expiry can be set to one week or your prefered days.
After setting all that up you can copy the link and forward it to us in the sensitive data section.
Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
please check sensitive data section
