I am not sure if the regex would work in your case, it might affect some of your existing URLs. For example if we setup a regex to redirect any: https://example.com/shop/*, this will also direct and existing URL: https://example.com/shop/RedHats/red/
What I can recommend in your case is using bulk redirect from the 404 monitor. You can select all the related URLs in the 404 monitor and redirect them to one specified URL.
As for the the homepage appearing on your 404:
–if you check all URLs n=in the 404 monitor, they are all relative(that is: the domain part of the URL is not added to the URL)
That said, the 404 monitor means someone or a bot is trying to access your site with: https://example.com/https://example.com/ and you can therefore ignore this safely.
