Hello,
I apologize for the issue you are facing with the redirection of the /category/ base. When removing the /category/ base in the links section, it should ideally work for both posts and category pages.
If the redirection is only working for posts and not for category pages, it might be due to a specific configuration or setting. To troubleshoot this, you can follow these steps:
-
Check the Permalink Settings: Ensure that the permalink settings are correctly configured in WordPress. You can navigate to Settings → Permalinks and confirm that the settings align with your requirements.
-
Verify Redirection Settings: Double-check the redirection settings in Rank Math. Make sure that the redirection rule for /category/ is correctly set up and active.
-
Clear Cache: If you are using any caching plugins or server-side caching, clear the cache to ensure that the changes take effect.
If after checking these steps, the issue persists, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue for you.
Best regards.

Hello,
Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.
Please head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks and save the page without changing anything.
Suppose there is still no redirection happening. Please create a redirection in our plugin and follow the rule below:
Source URLs: category/(.*) Type: Regex Destination URL: http://rm-pro.local/$1
You may refer to this guide on how to create a redirection: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-create-a-redirection/
Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

Thank you.
DONE thanks !
Hello,
The destination URL had the incorrect domain. The domain on the destination should match your own domain so the redirection works as intended.
We have made the modifications to it and it’s now redirecting accurately.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
Great, thanks a lot !
