Redirecting Amp to non-amp pages

    Greetings,
I want to redirect all my Amp pages to non-Amp pages, I have seen from the example you have given that the amp is at the end of the URL, however, my amps are at the start, here is my URL structure https://website.com/amp/blogpost

    Will this redirection still work?

    Regex Source URL: /(.*)/amp
    Destination URL: /$1

Secondly, will the redirection affect my SEO Rankings?

    Thanks

  • Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

The redirection rule should work fine to redirect your AMP URLs. And redirecting the URLs that no longer exist is a good practice to avoid losing the traffic that is coming from the old URLs. If a user lands on a 404 page, most likely they will leave the site due to poor user experience.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.

    Thank you for your feedback.
