Redirected blogs

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with redirected posts not working. There can be several reasons for this problem:

    1. Infinite Redirect Loop: If you have accidentally created a redirect to your own post, it can result in an infinite loop. This often happens if you change a post’s URL back to its original URL after a redirect has been set up. To resolve this, check your redirects for any that have the same source and destination URLs and delete them.

    2. Automatic Redirection: If you are relying on WordPress’s automatic redirection feature, please note that it only works for posts and not for pages, taxonomies, or custom post types (CPTs). If WordPress does not automatically redirect your old URLs, you may need to enable Rank Math’s Auto Post Redirect feature.

      • To enable this, go to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → Dashboard and activate the Redirections module. Then navigate to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Redirections → Auto Post Redirect and enable the option.
        Enable Auto Post Redirect
    3. Configuration Issues: Ensure that your redirection settings are correctly configured in Rank Math. If there are any misconfigurations, it could prevent redirects from functioning as intended.

    4. Caching Issues: Sometimes, caching plugins or server-side caching can interfere with redirection. Clear your cache and check if the issue persists.

If you continue to experience problems after checking these points, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern!
