Redirect not Working

    Hi team,

    we recently updated a redirect to new file but it doesn’t seem to work. If I create a new one it works fine, however if I update the existing one it doesn’t work. I even deleted them all as suggested in help article and then imported them in again and same thing happens. I have since deleted the old file that the redirect was pointing to but it still doesn’t work.

    I have cleared the cache on my wordpress account but nothing still.

    I am at a loss now and need this redirect updating as it points to an external list that should be accessible by our clients.

    Unfortunately, Rank Math Redirection doesn’t support redirecting file URLs from wp-content. You can use the .htaccess file to redirect these URLs: https://wpscholar.com/blog/simple-redirects-with-htaccess/

    Here’s how you can edit the .htaccess file using Rank Math:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/edit-htaccess/

    Please do take a backup before editing your .htaccess file.

    Hi,

    The file is .json and needs CORS enabled. I am not sure why you say it will not work as this is how it was originally setup and was working fine for the old version of the file, just doesn’t work for the new version.

    Hello,

    The issue is that when you access the file sellers.json the request never touches the WordPress installation and since our plugin can only handle redirections when the call is being made through the WordPress installation this won’t work.
