Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with the redirects on your website. It sounds like there may be a conflict with another plugin or theme, especially since the issue does not occur when you are logged in.
To troubleshoot this, we recommend performing a quick conflict check:
- Backup your site to ensure you can restore it if needed.
- Enable the Troubleshooting mode and disable Rank Math to see if the random redirects still occur.
- If the redirects stop, try disabling other plugins one by one to identify the conflicting plugin or theme.
Additionally, you can check your
.htaccess
file for any unexpected redirection rules. You can do this through the Rank Math plugin by navigating to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Edit .htaccess. If you find any unwanted rules, you can remove them directly from there. If you continue to experience issues after these steps, please reply to this ticket with your website URL so that a human agent can assist you further. Thank you for your patience!

Random URLs Redirecting Even When No Redirect Was Created » Rank MathHello,
We are unable to replicate this issue on your site. Even with Rank Math activated, the site URLs were not redirected in an incognito window.
Please see the screencast we shared in the sensitive data section.
Are there particular URLs that are incorrectly redirecting? Please share them with us.
Also, note that the correct way to use our plugin on a multisite setup is to install it on the network but only activate it on specific subsites.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
HI Ike, thanks for your answer. I forgot to show you some URL that have the issue.
I have activate now the pluging. Pls visit in incognito mode those link:
https://vinadoo.com/enotecacattaneo/spumanti/ — this 301
https://vinadoo.com/enotecacattaneo/whisky/ — this 301
https://vinadoo.com/enotecacattaneo/veneto/rossi-veneto/amarone/ — this 404
https://vinadoo.com/enotecacattaneo/prodotto/muller-thurgau-st-michael-eppan/ — this 301
https://vinadoo.com/enotecacattaneo/prodotto/pinot-bianco-schulthauser/ — this 301and many others. I notice the problem is only with Category, with pages and products no issue
Hi Ike, I have deactivated the plugin because it is impossible to use browse the entire site. When you activate the plugin clean all cache from the Litespeed dashboard, and wait some minutes to replicate the issue in incognito mode.
Hello,
We checked the URLs you shared using https://httpstatus.io/ with Rank Math enabled in an incognito window after clearing the cache several times.
We got the following:
The only redirect there was the default WordPress template redirect:
I disabled it by adding the following filter to the Code Snippets plugin:
remove_filter('template_redirect', 'redirect_canonical');
The page is now returning a 404 error instead of redirecting to a similar URL.
2. We noticed the “Remove category base” option was enabled at Rank Math > General Settings > Woocommerce.
We have disabled this option as it removes the prefix from the product category URL.
If you are still facing this issue, please send, if possible, a recorded screencast video demonstrating the issue.
You can use tools like Loom for screencasts.
We look forward to helping you further.
Thanks.
Hello, Just to understand, why happens the issue because “the remove category base” was already active since the first time the website was online.
Asking that because now I have hundreds URL different on Google that contain “categoria-prodotto”.
Is it possible to investigate further, I prefer to have the URL clean without “categoria-prodotto”.
Hi Ike, I need to keep the remove category base activate I have all URL regarding category wrong now.
Hello,
We checked your website again and we can most of your plugins are currently deactivated, including WooCommerce.
However, can you please confirm if you’ve translated the category base? If so, please note that the feature to remove the category base does not work properly when the base is translated.
Our plugin looks for the default product base and can’t identify its translations for that option, and that’s why the option doesn’t work for the secondary languages if the base is translated.
In that case, you can use any external plugin like Permalink Manager to achieve this.
Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hi, I think you have checked wrong Web Site. It is a Multisite installation and you hate to check the ENOTECA CATTANEO.
I did not any change or translation to the URL, before the issue appear the remove category base working good. All the structure of the web site was build with that function activated.
Hello,
We deeply apologize for the unexpected delay in response.
We checked your website again, but were not able to replicate any issues. We enabled the
Remove category base
option in Rank Math > General Settings > WooCommerce, and it is working properly without any issues. Also, the links you’ve shared no longer have any 301 redirection.
Can you please confirm if you’re still facing any issues on your website? If so, please share a screencast using a tool like https://loom.com so that we can check the issue further for you.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
