Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Could you please head over to Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Media and check whether Media Robots Meta has been set to noindex?
If it is, please uncheck this option and hit save on Rank Math > Sitemap Settings page.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Unfortunately, this noindex check box option is also your recommendition in the support setting course,so,question again, which one has to be turned off,and which one has to be turn on,conflicts again.
and even i turn off this noindex check box, still says ”To generate attachment sitemap disable attachment redirection to parent”.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
You have to disable attachment redirection to parent and then flush your permalinks by doing the following:
1. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks
Hit the save button once.
2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings
Hit the save button once.
That should fix the issue.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
One question,SEO Titles & Meta-“Media Robots Meta” noindex checkbox should be checked or not?your knowledge base says it should be checked, but you said it should be unchecked
Hi Tang,
Thanks for the response.
As an SEO best practice it is not recommended to index the media on your site since this may end up diluting your quality of your content.
In situations where the images are at the core of your SEO strategy then you can add the media to your sitemap and to achieve this, you have to disable the noindex robots meta.
I hope this info helps. Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
Since your primary content is YouTube media, it would make sense to keep the settings as they are and get Google to index the media content.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Sorry,don’t quite understand what’s that mean.two questions:
so set Media Robots Meta to default is correct, right?
and what about categories and tags?same?no worried about duplicate?
Hello,
Thanks for the question.
For the attachment sitemap question, you mentioned that you have the following settings:
1,SEO Settings-LINKS-Redirect Attachments is set to “OFF”
2,SEO Titles & Meta-Media-Media Robots Meta is set to “Default”
3,Sitemap Settings-Media-Include in Sitemap is set to “ON”
My suggestion is keep these settings to have the videos on your posts indexed and the attachments sitemap working as expected.
From the way your website is structured, the same post content is available to post categories and tags and thus you should avoid duplicate results by settings the categories to noindex.
I hope this info helps. Thank you.
ok,thanks.
Since i noindex categories and tags,it’s no necessary to select “include in sitemap” to be “ON”,right?because your knowledgbase tells that should be set to “ON”
Hi Tang,
Yes it is not necessary to include the tags and categories on your sitemap if they are set to noindex.
I hope this info helps. Thank you.
I googled the attachment url sitemap ,some says it will create thin page that google doesn’t like?so,still keep it as you suggested?
