Yes, it is advisable to redirect the attachment pages to their respective content as the page is not very useful for SEO unless you’ve dedicated photography or artwork or a graphic design website.
The images will still be indexed on the SERP even with the attachment pages being redirected since the images are already mentioned or attached to your post’s content.
